COVID-19 UPDATES

To existing loan customers of The Peoples Bank: if you are experiencing financial difficulties as a result of the COVID-19 crisis, please contact your loan officer so they can evaluate your eligibility for our loan modification program.


UPDATE: As of 6/7/2021, all lobbies will be open to the public. While appointments aren't required, they are still available for your added convenience by calling your local branch. Masks are not required in the building.

UPDATE: As of 5/24/2021, all lobbies with the exception of the Main Office are reopened. Our Main Office will remain by appointment only, in order to mitigate any potential risk of a disruption to operations.

Masks are NOT required in the building. Those who choose to wear a mask will be required to lower their mask momentarily prior to entering the building for security purposes.

On Saturdays, we will remain drive-thru only at Washington Avenue. We will resume with Saturday hours, as drive-thru only, at our Sudlersville Branch beginning on Saturday, June 5.

UPDATE: Effective 5/17/2021,  we will re-open all lobbies with the exception of the Main Office and Millington Branch. The Millington Branch will remain drive-thru only until May 23. Our Main Office will remain by appointment only, in order to mitigate any potential risk of a disruption to operations.

All customers and vendors will be required to be masked while in the building. However, we will require customers to lower their mask momentarily prior to entering the building for security purposes.

UPDATE: As of 12/21/2020, all of The Peoples Bank's lobbies will be closed for appointments due to spiking COVID-19 numbers in our area. Drive-thrus will remain open normal hours. Our Easton branch's lobby is now closed, as the drive-up tube is now fully operational.

UPDATE: As of 7/28/2020, all of our lobbies except our Easton branch lobby will remain drive-thru only unless an appointment is necessary for lengthy transactions as well as meetings with loan officers. The Easton Branch of The Peoples Bank lobby will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Washington Avenue Branch is open for Saturday drive-thru service from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Most normal transactions can be conveniently taken care of at one of our drive-thrus. All customers who enter our banks must follow our COVID-19 protocol, which is as follows: each customer must sign in and wear a mask, have an acceptable temperature reading, and answer questions in order to limit exposure risk inside the Bank.

UPDATE: As of 6/1/2020, the Easton Branch of The Peoples Bank will re-open our lobby from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. All other branches will remain drive-thru only. In order to maintain the health and safety of our customers and staff, one customer will be permitted in the Easton Branch lobby at a time due to the size of the Bank. Each customer must sign in and wear a mask, have an acceptable temperature reading, and answer questions in order to limit exposure risk inside the Bank. The Peoples Bank will be following all Health Department guidelines regarding sanitation for the safety of our customers and employees. As always, we look forward to serving you.

As of 3/17/2020, The Peoples Bank will be closing our lobbies and operating in a drive thru only capacity to protect the health and safety of our customers and staff. We recommend that you make use of all of our available tools and resources for self-service banking options and 24/7 account access through our mobile and online banking services. Moving forward:

-         Drive-thru service will operate on the normal bank schedule Monday through Friday.

-        All Branches will be closed on Saturday.

-         CD service is available at all drive-thru locations.

-         Safe Deposit Box entry will be available by appointment only.

- As the situation with COVID-19 is rapidly-evolving, please call our COVID-19 Response Hotline at 443-282-0142 for the latest status of the bank before visiting your branch's drive-thru.
