The Peoples Bank sponsored the Guest Chef Dinner on April 2nd benefiting United Way of Kent County. This year’s Guest Chef Dinner raised $6,000, which will help support the United Way’s annual campaign and the twenty-four agencies that it funds in Kent County.
Ralph Dowling, President and CEO of The Peoples Bank, was the Guest Chef at this year’s dinner, which was hosted by The Kitchen at the Imperial. The menu featured Dowling’s famous paella recipe as well as signature salads, side dishes and scrumptious chocolate bread pudding prepared by The Kitchen’s Chef Steve Quigg.
Praising everyone involved with the Guest Chef Dinner event, United Way of Kent County’s Executive Director Beth Everett commented, “A function like this means a great deal to United Way of Kent County. The need in the county is much greater than most people see, and this gives us the opportunity to help so many more Kent County residents.” Thanks to events such as the Guest Chef Dinner, the United Way of Kent County is confident that they will meet their campaign goal of $225,000 slated to support programming of local non-profit agencies in the community.
